The system engineer team is managing and monitoring systems and infrastructure at FactSet. This position plays a large role in designing, developing and implementing new systems. In addition, the software engineer analyses current systems and develops solutions to complex problems that may be occurring. This role provides support to all by serving as a key contact for all systems related issues that arise.
This role is a mixed between application management (Java three tiers architecture) and system configuration. The team collaborates with configurations consultant team and the enterprise architect team.
Responsibilities:
Provide application configuration at time of implementation, ongoing monitoring and change management support.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve escalated client issues to ensure application fully satisfies customers in terms of data integrity, application expectations and other factors according to customer requirements.Work closely with development, account management, support and other internal parties to facilitate issue resolution and change.Monitor and improve infrastructure for hosting servicesParticipate in the research and documentation of processes, including new procedure manual documentation, implementation, and updates.Support FactSet’s 24/7 global support structureRequirements for the role
Bachelor's degree or higherDemonstrated knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell, Unix Shell / MS-DOS, batch files, scheduler => Any other scripting language is fine SQL (PL/SQL, T-SQL), DBA (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora) System Administration knowledge and skillsPreferred Qualifications:
