Systems Engineer – Requirements Management
Title: Systems Engineer – Requirements Management Systems Engineer – Requirements Management Job Posting Description KBR is seeking a highly qualified Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform requirements management for a space and ground systems; as well as support general systems engineering process development and improvements. System engineering and requirements management actives include generating acquisition office requirements, support updating functional Enterprise requirements, and reviewing systems engineering processes; Epic roadmaps; and risks for end-to-end closure of the baseline for Space protection-related activities in the overall Enterprise. Responsibilities Include: + Owner of Requirements Management (RM) processes within the Acquisition Office Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) + Generate and coordinate any updates to applicable RM content + Ensure process alignment with Acquisition Office and Enterprise level processes + Ensure process alignment with Acquisition Office and developer processes + Acquisition Office primary Enterprise interface regarding Enterprise functional requirements (FUNs) allocated to the office through multiple System Requirements Documents (SRDs) + Work with SMEs to ensure FUN technical accuracy, completeness, and consistency + Ensure traces of FUNS-to-Epics are complete and maintain those traces in an RM tool (Jira and/or RDNG) + Support TEMs to update FUNs or Epics based on outcomes of Enterprise negotiations of traces + Support test team for test scope planning + Support Enterprise engagements for communicating changes to requirements + Owner of Acquisition Office requirements (Capability Statements and Epics) comprehensive baseline supporting TEMs and reviewing any proposed changes for impacts + Maintain requirements baseline in RM tool + Maintain awareness of developer closure status and roadmap + Support discussions for waivers/deviations/deferrals/liens and coordinate any impacts to FUNs with the Enterprise + Represent Acquisition Office during requirement closure to the Enterprise + Primary CDRL review for requirements management content (i.e., SEP/SEMP, RVTM, roadmaps, etc) + Review all RFCs related to System or Functional requirements impacting the Acquisition Office + Ensure new/reduced scope is properly assessed by product team (i.e., funding, schedule, performance) + Support readiness event chart development that includes requirement stats/input + Support Risk, Issue, and Opportunity maturation that affect requirements + Maintain awareness of all applicable Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure references to these ICDs are documented appropriately within the Acquisition Office requirements Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor’s or Master’s STEM degree, or related field required + 9-13 years of experience with a BS, or 7-11 years of experience with a MS, in systems engineering developing, reviewing, or analyzing technical documents + Experience in systems engineering and systems engineering processes + Prior experience with requirements managements + Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations + Strong communication skills to interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups + Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports Preferred Qualifications: + Knowledge of impacting mission threats + Prior experience with government satellite systems and/or space situational awareness + Experience in the NRO + Prior experience with Agile programs + Prior experience managing requirements for Agile programs Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
