KBR is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our customers in Chantilly, VA. The position requires the employee to provide technical expertise as a Systems Engineer and Technical Assistance (SETA). The ideal candidate will have experience within the Intelligence Community with a high level of familiarity with standard systems engineering approaches and modeling techniques.
This is a contingent position based upon contract award
Responsibilities:
Develop technical information to support the government program management decision-making process; assist Government PMs in managing and controlling the definition and management of the system configuration and the translation of the system definition into work breakdown structures.
Provide technical analyses and support in developing and applying advanced methods, theories and research techniques on R&D through operational support projects
Provide demonstrated skill in conceiving, planning and conducting research and analysis in difficult technological problem areas of considerable scope and complexity requiring unconventional or novel approaches and sophisticated research techniques
Assist the customer in performing Market Research associated with the various area of interest
Applies systems engineering concepts and principles to highly complex systems including disparate and customized subsystems
Provides technical support for all phases of system requirements development, conducting independent technical analyses, evaluation, and assessment of system requirements, requirements development, documentation, and verification.
Demonstrated experience supporting system engineering and integrating functions for customer acquisitions including requirements development, acquisition documentation, test and evaluation, and system design reviews.
Lead trade studies, evaluates system performance and design, performs CONOPS development, mission analysis, and evaluates emerging technologies
Experience developing programmatic, technical information to support the program management decision-making process.
Assess R&D proposals for feasibility and progress towards mission goals
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM-related discipline
10+ years’ demonstrated experience with System Architectures and the SE Design Process
A good understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices and SysML.
Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
Security Requirements: Active TS-SCI w Polygraph
