Systems Engineer (4567)

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Systems Engineer.

 Position Responsibilities:

Technical Investigations: Technical investigations on technical issues identified during engineering activities including requirements generation, design, development, documentation reviews, fabrication, integration, installation, test & evaluation, qualification, acceptance, certification, maintenance, fielding,sparing. These investigations shall include root cause analysis, evaluation of alternative solutions, proposed corrective actions, risk analysis, performance assessment and programmatic impacts to include cost and schedule impact. Documentation Review:  Reviewing documentation such as design documents, engineering change proposals, trouble reports, operational requirements documents, test & evaluation documents, logistics materials, technical manuals, operational guidelines, supply support documentation and engineering measurement program data to ensure consistency with specifications and guidance documentation. Documentation Development & Revision: Developing or revising system engineering documentation including specifications, system engineering management plans, design documents, measurement analysis plans, operational guidelines, technical system descriptions troubleshooting guides and engineering change proposals. Data Analysis:  Modeling, processing, and analyzing test and operational data in order to assess performance including modeling, testing, measuring and evaluating system compliance against program specifications and requirements. Review test data, maintenance data, and operator data to assess logistics requirements including potential impacts to existing program maintenance procedures, supply support infrastructure and Reliability, Maintainability, Availability, Obsolescence, and Failure Analysis:  Experience with leading modeling, processing, and analyzing test and operational data to assess Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) performance in accordance with test objectives and system technical requirements;  Configuration & Database Management:  Experience performing configuration management tracking of software  configuration items, hardware configuration items, and documentation in new and existing government databases. Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)  Familiarity with Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) of operational, simulation, diagnostic, and maintenance hardware; PCA to determine if changes made to hardware (Incidental Government Property (IGP)) comply with the government approved engineering changes and system/subsystem performance requirements. Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs):  Experience with Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) of operational, simulation, diagnostic, and maintenance software programs and firmware; FCA to determine if changes made to computer programs and firmware (IGP) comply with the government approved engineering changes and system/subsystem performance requirements. Systems Engineering Analysis:  Experience evaluating existing program schedules, cost data, and risk analysis data and provide system engineering assessments with respect to planned milestones, deliverables and cost.  Analyze costs using earned value management (EVM) principles; and provide technical impacts. Developing course of action recommendations specifying schedule and cost risks, including the identification of current and downstream impacts not addressed by the existing program strategy

Position Requirements:

Secret Clearance 10 years of experience Experience with Naval undersea warfare technologies Experience in a leadership role with experience in a variety of systems engineering functions
