Description Robert Half is seeking an IT System Engineer for a client located in Torrance, CA. You will be working with Global IT Infrastructure Network and Hosting engineers and will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing, and monitoring of IT on-premises and cloud infrastructure including disaster recovery planning and security compliance. Assist in escalated incidents, problems, request management and project implementation Requirements + System Engineer but more in infrastructure + Server Maintenance and VMWare | Hands on Server and VMWare and Microsoft + Nutanix- nice to have. Something new that they are deploying + Azure cloud- but if they have AWS experience that should be similar + Rack n Stack will be hands on + Understand Cisco Meraki Experience CCNA for networking (note require but need to understand it ) + Microsoft Server is the base + Be able to understand both network and the server and connect it + Cloud experience is a plus + Manage, execute, deploy, configure servers and Virtual Machine - Deploying the VMWare itself, Support the migration from VMWare to Nutanix, + 2012 and 2016 Microsoft Server and some older legacy server like 2008 + 20% on cloud and 80% on VMWare |legacy server and applications and they put it to the cloud that cannot be migrated. Lift and shift and put it to Azure. + Still in the works and this project coming on will be working Nutanix. Started configuring and planning a migration from VMWare to Nutanix. + VMWare 6.0 and looking to upgrade that over to Nutanix + Networking- help configure Cisco- command and IP will be provided. Not necessary someone that is a Network Eng or Architect, just need some background with Networking and understand how it relates to Servers. + Full Microsoft Stack- Azure Active Directory, Connection to Azure, SharePoint, Exchange + Missed the mark of only a System Admin with no deploying and configuring experience.
