Job Description

The Systems Engineer will work with a team of Administrators, Engineers, and Architects to build a collaborative environment for our U.S. Army Europe-Africa customer.  The main job focus for the Systems Engineer is working with Active Directory Federation Services, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). Secondarily, the Systems Engineer will also maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems. Remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Will be responsible for DoD systems hardening (STIG, ACAS) as well as updating Windows Operating Systems and ePO Administration.

Monitoring SQL Server & Virtualized server environments as well as Server backups (snapshot, full, differential, incremental, retention policies)

Microsoft server applications (i.e. Exchange, SharePoint)

PowerShell scripting

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experience: 8+ years of related Systems Engineering experience

Security Clearance Required: Secret Level Security Clearance with SSBI/T5 clearance

Candidate must be able to meet German TESA requirements

Certifications: Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1; Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire

Skills: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS); Public Key Infrastructure (PKI); Excellent communication skills, shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through; Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience; Can create effective and clear documentation (EIPs, Build Guides, TTPs, etc.); Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
