Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer The Systems Engineer will determine problems throughout specific computer systems. This position reviews solutions for problematic cases involving high complex customers and technical configurations. The Systems Engineer will provide guidance, assistance, and mentor support to team members. This position will also collaborate extensively with our Endpoint Administration team and Systems Administrators. Forbes recently named Memphis the 4th happiest city in which to work. Why live anywhere else? Job Responsibilities: Handle moderate to high complexity cases and exceed customer expectations. Manage efficiency and effectiveness of incident and problem management system. Maintain and administer support procedures and documentation. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with administrators to implement fixes. Communicate challenges and recommend solutions to key stakeholders, including management, end-users, and senior leadership. Participate in technical support meetings to gain understanding of the client's processes and share best practices. Participate in new product evaluations and assist on vendor proposals for hardware purchases. Stay abreast of the latest changes, trends, and technological advancements in the industry. Provide guidance, assistance, and mentoring support to team members. Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field of study required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum Experience: Experience supporting IT infrastructure and service delivery preferred. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, this position is required to have a minimum of 4 years of experience with an Associate's degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience with a high school degree. Prefer experience working in a technical support environment. Prefer experience working in a healthcare and/or clinical research environment. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
