Primary purpose of the Role
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing ON-SITE support at our Jessup imaging center as well as supporting our remote imaging site(s) and FISMA central Hub between 9:30-6:30PM.
This role requires an experienced IT professional with a proven record of accomplishment to support this fast-paced and high volume environment. Reporting to the Project Manager for Global DS Service Operations, this individual will be the on-site lead for the Service Operations team. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and support including hardware/software management related to imaging and local network/access.
Key Accountabilities
The range of activities and tasks to be undertaken by the System Engineer, Global DS Service Operations (NA) include:
Daily maintenance activities to ensure all IT operations run smoothly.
Daily support for the local imaging center and FISMA/IMGS central environments.
Responsible for proper daily escalation of issues and off-hour on-call support(Monthly rotation).
Work to improve existing standard processes and develop comprehensive controls to monitor productivity, quality, and SLA adherence based on industry proven best practices.
Responsible for successful on-boarding of new DS customers and change requests for existing DS customers
Ensure constant systems/solution availability to meet project SLA’s

Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Extensive experience with Windows 10, Server 2016, SQL Database, IIS and Active Directory.
Deploy/troubleshoot Kofax(imaging software) Batch class and custom tools/modules
Installation of hardware(Nutanix, switches) and software(Kofax, digital imaging tools, web config, etc).
Providing technical support for hardware and software on-site.
Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders and IT teams.
Demonstrated ability to perform independently as a member of a team and through cross functional initiatives.
Own, Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues collaborating with devops and various teams.
Willingness to work with numerous deadlines on a wide variety of initiatives in an environment where priorities may change quickly
Network management and support- knowledge of switches, routers and firewalls desired
SQL and PowerShell scripting experience desired
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university or 5+ years of IT industry work experience
You must be a U.S. citizen to apply and will be subject to a Government clearance investigation
Microsoft Certified Professional (or related certification) desired
A+ and Network+ Certifications desired
ITIL v3 foundation and practitioner certification desired
Reasonably expected salary range: $58,900.00 - $73,600.00
