Systems Engineer
Description + Design, deploy, and manage VMware virtualization infrastructure, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts, to support mission-critical applications and services. + Plan and execute migrations, upgrades, and expansions of VMware environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance. + Configure and administer Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive, to enable seamless communication, collaboration, and productivity across the organization. + Manage and maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, group policies, DNS, DHCP, and user authentication, to ensure secure and efficient access to resources and services. + Implement and manage Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage, to extend on-premises infrastructure to the cloud and support hybrid environments. + Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability using monitoring tools and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability. + Develop and maintain system documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for reference and training purposes. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions that align with organizational goals and objectives. + Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT staff, resolving escalated issues in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. + Proven experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with expertise in VMware, Office 365, Active Directory, and Azure. + Strong proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts. + Hands-on experience with Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. + Deep understanding of Active Directory architecture and components, including domain services, group policies, DNS, and DHCP. + Experience with Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage. + Solid understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs. + Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. + Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. + Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent certifications (preferred but not required).
