Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will develop subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements. You will also develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts. Additionally, you will coordinate and facilitate architecture development for assigned systems, subsystems, and components, and support the development and maintenance of interface requirements and design information. Your role will also include documenting concept design decisions and supporting the generation of System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments. You will coordinate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results, support cost, schedule, and risk monitoring, and coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design. Lastly, you will support vehicle-level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop subsystem and component performance specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary requirements.Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance, and supporting artifacts.Coordinate and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.Support development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system, and components.Document concept design decisions and support generating System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments.Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results.Support the performance and monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering.Experience with military vehicle systems.Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML methodology and tools like Cameo.Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF).Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience.Experience performing requirements analysis, derivation, and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concept design solutions within applicable constraints.Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.Ability to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.Ability to plan, conduct, and document trade studies.Ability to generate System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments per the program statement of work (SOW).Work Environment

The work schedule is a 9/80 schedule, which means you will have every other Friday off.
