Job Description
We are currently hiring Systems Engineers in Warrenton, VA to support the full life cycle SE process for a new Navy program. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support customer missions. You will be expected to partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of hardware, software, and network components to achieve optimal system performance and reliability. We are building the US Navy a state-of-the-art digital ground station for in-fill and ex-fill (transport and receive) communications, which includes both signal processing and non-signal processing FPGA applications.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement complex systems architecture to meet technical requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Evaluate and select appropriate hardware, software, and network components for system implementation.Support installation and configuration of system hardware, operating systems, and software applications.Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient system functionality.Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration details, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Partner with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network engineers, and DSP developers, to ensure cohesive system integration.Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, assisting with system-related issues.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in engineering.5+ years of experience in the entire Systems Engineering V Life Cycle.Experience designing and implementing systems architecture.Experience with hardware, operating systems, network protocols, and software applications.Experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.Eligible for a TS/SCI.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with DOORS.Experience with DSP and signal processing.Familiarity with Navy projects.Work Environment
This role is a hybrid role with 2 days a week being onsite in Warrenton, VA. The team operates in an open office space, providing a fun culture and hybrid model. The total team supporting this program is 13 people, including subcontracts the team sits at 25-30 people. The work environment is modern, allowing use of laptops and cell phones, and is located in a technology park with amenities like a brewery, winery, and CrossFit. The company offers prime contracts, allowing control of the work and the customer, and pays by the hour actually worked rather than a standard 40 hours a week.
