Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support an aviation client in their ATM (Air Traffic Management) division. This engineer will support the civil use of GPS by integrating civil GPS signal monitoring into GPS operations and Positioning Signal Integrity and Continuity Assurance (PSICA) activities related to the use of GPS for civil/commercial aviation.

ResponsibilitiesSupport integration of civil GPS signal monitoring into GPS operationsGenerate technical reports, strategy documents, white pages, and presentationsProvide oversight and approval of GPSConduct 25% Program ManagementEngage in 25% Customer InterfacingPerform 50% Hands-on EngineeringReview failure reviews to develop corrective and preventative actionsApply software, hardware, domestic and international standards to analysis, development, and integration of systems for navigation servicesCollaborate with clients on upcoming and evolving technologies in navigation systemsEssential SkillsBS in Electrical Engineering or related field10 years of experienceExperience in monitoring and control of GPS (design and assurance in aviation)Experience with GPS navigation systemsGPS systems modernizing experienceAviation safety and approval experienceEligibility for US Secret Clearance and Public TrustAdditional Skills & QualificationsAlgorithm development experienceProgram management experienceExperience with DoD or militaryAbout Actalent
