Systems Engineer

About the Role:
Are you passionate about applying systems engineering to safeguard the skies? ISPA Technology is looking for a Systems Engineer to partner with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in the critical mission of developing air cargo screening solutions to address emergent threats. This role combines immediate problem-solving with a visionary approach to advancing the future of detection technologies. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovate and Adapt: Evaluate and adapt existing commercial air cargo screening solutions to meet current and emergent threat scenarios. Shape the Future: Lead and guide long-term initiatives, including requirements analysis, technology maturation, system design, integration, and testing for the development of new detection solutions. Set Detection Standards: Work with TSA to create and refine detection standards tailored to emerging air cargo threats. Develop Alarm Resolution Protocols: Support TSA in designing and implementing effective alarm resolution procedures as new security solutions are deployed. Collaborate Across Sectors: Act as a technical liaison, fostering collaboration with commercial, government, and academic partners to drive innovation and ensure compliance with TSA standards. Build Expertise: Develop subject matter expertise in detection technologies and techniques, including x-ray systems, Raman spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.Who We’re Looking For:

Security Clearance: Active TS security clearance is required.
