Element Digital Engineering requires a versatile and innovative Systems Engineer to help support various projects covering several different industries (aero, defence, energy, space). Candidates will be required to effectively translate the client’s needs and requirements, whilst working alongside the wider team to generate concepts and to develop and verify deliverable solutions
Responsibilities Development and improvement of requirement specifications with cross-functional teamsRequirements definition at system, sub-system, and equipment levelsRequirements management and maintain traceabilityDevelopment of solutions using techniques such as Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and trade studiesSupporting the development of a plan and associated activitiesDevelopment of systems engineering activities (e.g., project plans, analysis, reports, etc)Collaboration with and reporting to Customer representatives; and the tailoring and application of engineering initiatives, best practices, and quality processes; and contributing to Continuous ImprovementManagement of system and sub-system level requirements and interface definition, including management of design baselinesSystem architecture definitionManagement and resolution of problems/queries that arise from development and qualification activityUnderstand the impact of proposed changes current designs and perform studies to eliminate risks and ensure the continued viabilityCoordinate/support in design reviewsGeneration and review of technical documentation to support verification activitySystem level compliance evidence compilationSystem certification and generation of system verification documentation, including design verification Plans and requirement verification modulesSystems support to other parallel programmes as required Skills / Qualifications Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an Engineering related field (Preferred, not Essential) Experience of customer and wider stakeholder management· Experience in the usage of IBM DOORS or similar and/or MBSE tools· Experience in systems integration (mechanical/electrical/software) would be beneficial· Hands-on experience across the system design lifecycle, preferable within aerospace#LI-JC1
