Job Description

As a Systems Engineer, you will apply a solid understanding of standard systems engineering principles to resolve complex problems from conception to final design with team input. You will plan, schedule, and lead project assignments in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with minimal guidance. In this role, you will apply simulation and system modeling techniques to build prototypes and prove concepts as necessitated by the projects in the exploratory design development cycles, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

ResponsibilitiesEmbrace accountability for critical decisions and deliverables within the area/role of responsibility and expanded complexity.Apply diligence in determining the best solutions for technical issues, focusing on critical information without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail.Apply creative thinking to resolve issues.Create design concepts and research methodologies that meet current and future customer and business needs for a product or process domain area.Understand and contribute to the resolution of competing constraints among interrelated functions.Contribute to the program/project or the organization’s technical strategy.Demonstrate good business judgment in balancing budget, profitability, and vendor relationships; understand business financials and the resulting impacts that decisions have on the business.Thoroughly understand and drive the application of phases of life cycle management.Apply life cycle management principles within exploratory, new product development, or sustaining phases.Perform as an independent reviewer in technical and design reviews.Leverage knowledge of technology, process, and/or therapy domains to drive solutions and product design realization.Propose and drive solutions to sophisticated technical problems.Be recognized within the immediate team for technical and/or process expertise as evidenced by solicitation for input on a variety of issues.Engage and be respected within the team, potentially acting as a subject matter expert on technical problems.Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to FDA, ISO, and IEC design control procedures, regulations, and standards within the area of responsibility/expertise.Apply risk scenarios and technical risk mitigation tools and complete mitigation strategies to ensure optimal results.Essential SkillsB.S. in Computer Science, Electrical, Bio-Medical, Software Engineering, or a related field and 6+ years of related experience.Strong experience in Digital Twin, simulations, and system modeling using Model-Based Design techniques.Expertise in controls and algorithms development in safety-critical products and domains such as medical, aerospace, and automotive.Solid understanding of theories and practices applied by other fields outside the primary area of expertise.Ability to convince management on courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods.Effective operation in and facilitation of cross-functional teams.Ability to provide solutions that reflect an understanding of business objectives and cost implications.Experience with embedded or application software development.Additional Skills & QualificationsDesignEngineeringMedical deviceSystems engineeringSoftware developmentElectrical engineeringWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00
