Job Title: Systems EngineerJob Description The Systems Engineer will work closely with software, hardware, and mechanical engineering departments to ensure the successful design and delivery of lunar products. This role involves working closely with customers on requirements, leading requirement definition, and compiling the design and interface documentation. This role is primarily focused on the design-phase of the product lifecycle - test/systems test is not as applicable. Responsibilities + Define, control, and execute all processes needed for a successful design. + Derive product and system requirements from customer requirements and specifications. + Lead requirement definition and risk management activities. + Collaborate with hardware, software, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated system designs. + Perform validation and verification of system designs. + Write and maintain comprehensive documentation. Essential Skills + 5 years of Systems Engineering experience with space products. + Strong working knowledge of software, hardware, and other engineering disciplines. + Experience with risk management and validation/verification processes. + Proficiency in requirement definition and documentation writing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + US Citizenship is required. + Needs to have experience with full product lifecycle from a systems perspective - primarily Design Phase + Experience with lunar and satellite systems is a plus. + Knowledge of Earth observation technologies is beneficial. Work Environment This position offers the unique opportunity to design products that will quickly be up in space. Due to the smaller team, candidates will have the chance to work on the full product life cycle. Currently, the team has more programs than engineers on staff, and each product is customized per program/customer and used on multiple programs including lunar and Mars missions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
