Systems Engineer
Amentum is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) in their mission to develop, deliver, and maintain advanced integrated warfare systems and technologies that provide naval warfighters with decisive advantages. The Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the PEO IWS mission by providing support in the areas of program planning, execution, and control. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $140,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.) For more detailed information on our Benefits and what it is like to work for Amentum: please visit our careers site: www.amentumcareers.com **Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include:** + Provide software development for on-going and future digital transformation as PEO IWS's IT landscape evolves (e.g., Application Programing Interfaces) + Provide annual Data/Information Strategy unique to PEO IWS to serve as an addendum to other overarching strategies within the PEO IWS chain of command. + Provide support services for internal management of technical issues and actions as well as external liaison and support among + PEO IWS, the NAVSEA CIO, and the DoN CIO. + Develop and maintain tools, databases, and web sites for PEO IWS management needs not provided by the CIO infrastructure, or other source such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). These databases and data therein shall have a minimum of Government Unlimited rights. Protect the data integrity and pedigree of all PEO IWS information produced and stored as corporate information and + maintain business practices to ensure that all PEO IWS information maintained is in compliance with the Clinger-Cohen Act (CCA). Document types of data maintained in the annual Data/Information Management Plan. + Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness. + Participate in cross-functional teams to support program objectives and ensure alignment with stakeholder needs. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or software development or related field with minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering and digital engineering. + In Lieu of degree, High School diploma and 11 years of professional experience in operations + Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. + Knowledge of program management principles and practices, including scheduling, risk management, and performance measurement. + Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data from multiple sources and develop insights and recommendations. + Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree in engineering, engineering, or a related field. + Experience with U.S Navy or DoD Acquisition programs and processes + Experience working in a government contracting environment, particularly in the defense industry Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
