Systems Engineer
Job Purpose & Scope As a Systems Engineer you will support the installation, maintenance, and operation of the Bank’s applications and systems across the enterprise. You will work closely with other IT teams that manage the Bank’s hardware infrastructure, information security, banking software, and software development. Essential Job Functions + Actively participate in the design, implementation and management of the Bank’s IT systems including: + Server Operating Systems + End User Operation Systems + Cloud Infrastructure + SaaS Applications + Improve internal process via automation and scripting + Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the IT infrastructure + Document complex procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems/networks software and hardware + Participate in system and infrastructure product evaluations + Establish and maintain working relationships with end users, vendors, and managers + Provide technical guidance and assistance to other IS engineers and IS administrators + Demonstrate effective problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail, and initiative + Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines + Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the Bank’s values and mission Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Knowledge of information security best practices pertaining to server and workstation administration. + Knowledge of banking operations and financial services. + Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. + Ability to work without close supervision. + Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills. + Ability to maintain confidentiality. + Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment. + Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. + Advanced skill in using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager. + Advanced skill in using Microsoft Windows and/or Linux software. + Advanced skill in using OS virtualization. + Advanced skill in using Microsoft PowerShell and other scripting tools. + Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Basic Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience required + 3+ years of work experience with IT administration/operations required + Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems required + Proficient with Microsoft PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages required + Experience with system management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Red Hat Satellite, etc. preferred Job Expectations Job Expectations: O perate customary equipment and technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation.
