The Opportunity:
 

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts.  The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Task Manager.

The responsibilities of a system administrator include installing and configuring software, hardware, and networks; monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues; ensuring security through access controls, backups and firewalls; upgrading systems with new releases and models; developing expertise to train staff on new technologies; building an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.



Responsibilities:

Conduct general system troubleshooting and system maintenanceUnderstand and adhere to change management protocolsImplement and manage service monitoring across multiple networksOversee and maximize virtual machine operations while also being able to utilize Linux command line prompts and Linux system administrationOversee multiple databases, SAN, and NAS administrationProvide help-desk support to all members of the unit in troubleshooting existing technologies and incorporating new technologies into the unit.Create and manage Windows User Accounts, Group/Group Permissions and File PermissionsManage VMWare Virtual Machine Environment used for tactical datalink operations.Provide help direct IT support to users working datalink Ecosystem



Qualifications:

Required: 

Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearanceSecurity+Experience in providing system administration for help desk supportExperience with general networking conceptsExtensive experience with VMware and serversExperience with server hardwareCapability to research and remediate issues by self-learningKnowledge, skills and experience with Windows and Linux server platformsKnowledge of cloud migration from legacy systems.At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, NetApp Storage Solutions, VMWare, and Linux Server software. Security+ certification.Shall be proficient in administering and deploying applications and datlink related automation to support data efforts and product development.Performs systems architecture design and engineering.Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional Server, Desktop and Active Directory certifications are desired

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$65,000 - $136,500
