The Opportunity:
 

As the Systems Engineer assigned to one or more projects you will work closely with both the program/project manager and the engineering team. You will provide program/project management the engineering input on project requirements, estimates, resources required, and technical direction to assure the successful execution of the project. You will also be a technical resource for the engineering team – providing high level technical direction, validating technical approaches, and facilitating the resolution of technical roadblocks. Finally, you will work with other system engineers across the Navy C3I division to document, implement, and drive adoption of sound engineering practices and processes.

Responsibilities:

Primary internal/external technical point of contact for assigned projectsEnsure the various engineering efforts (design/development/test/deployment/support) have the appropriate engineering resources identifiedWork with customer’s technical team to identify technical needs and set expectations.Ensure the delivered project meets the customer’s requirements and expectations.Establish process improvements to increase product quality, efficiencies and overall customer and employee satisfaction.Provide rigorous and quantitatively backed engineering estimates for development and tracking of project budgets and schedules


Qualifications:

Required: 

Experience with the full hardware/software product development lifecycle.Excellent communication skillsAbility to understand and effectively communicate technical architectures and implementations associated with complex Multi-INT and distributed intelligence solutions to customer leadership and subject matter expertsFamiliarity with standard DoD System Engineering Process and terms such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), Customer Acceptance.Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Math, Physics) from an accredited University with minimum 7 years of professional experience, ideally with DoD organization or ContractorUS CitizenshipMinimum of a Secret but willing to upgrade to TS//SCI clearance



Desired:

Active TS//SCI clearanceProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience with iterative development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile/Scrum or Kanban.Experience with C4ISR systemsExposure to networking principles and/or experience with classified networks.Understanding of the certification and accreditation process for classified networks.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500 - 206,800 USD
