POSITION SUMMARY
This position will help advance Systems Engineering in the ORV organization by using its processes and tools to set vehicle and subsystem requirements, manage interfaces, and ensure quality. It will work with cross-functional teams to accurately capture, document, and align system requirements with stakeholder needs and project goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Elicit, analyze, and document system requirements from stakeholders, including customers, project managers, and technical teams.
• Utilize CodeBeamer requirements management tool and methodologies to document, track, and manage requirements effectively.
• Develop and maintain detailed requirements throughout the project, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
• Drive requirement quality through the application of INCOSE principles and facilitate development and improvement activities with requirement owners.
• Collaborate with engineers, software developers, and other team members to ensure requirements are understood and appropriately implemented while identifying and addressing conflicting requirements or gaps.
• Conduct requirements validation and verification activities to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
• Support the development of test plans and test cases to ensure requirements are met.
• Apply, and develop as necessary, integration requirements through application of interface management tools across multiple platform/module projects.
• Coach and support the adoption of Systems Engineering processes and tools, while serving as a subject matter resource for their evolution across the organization.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
• B.S. Engineering Degree required
• 2 years’ minimum previous experience in product subsystem design engineering within a stage gate process
• Experience in the application of systems engineering processes, including requirements creation and maturation, at a vehicle or system level preferred
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, being decisive and action-oriented as a self-starter.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., CodeBeamer, DOORS, Jama, RequisitePro).
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Minimal travel will be required with this role.
The pay range for Minnesota is $83,000 to $109,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
