You will be a Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control, leading the SOF Systems and Sustainment mission area as part of the SOF GLSS (Global Logistic Support Service) Program in Lexington, KY. Our team is responsible for rapidly and properly equipping the SOF community and its warfighters with the best possible mission systems and equipment.



What You Will Be Doing

As a Systems Engineer, you will lead a multi-disciplined team with technical planning and execution on all SOF Platforms, modifying existing equipment, integrating modified components into various platforms, and developing new devices/software based on customer specifications. You will work closely with our team to analyze customer requirements, manage tasks, and ensure on-time delivery of work products.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Analyze customer requirements to determine total scope, basis of estimate, and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure on-schedule completion
• Work with Functional Managers to address staffing needs associated with technical execution
• Coordinate engineering proposal development, including Basis of Estimate (BOE) and Schedule
• Serve as Cost Account Manager (CAM), supplying monthly team inputs in support of project cost and schedule performance
• Provide oversight of the team and subcontractors to ensure technical review completion and on-time work product deliveries
• Oversee development of design reports and reviews, and lead the team during design review briefs
• Communicate daily with internal and external customers

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U.S. government contract that requires a company-sponsored clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must have previous experience with design and/or integration and test of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.
-Experience with Earned Value Management and overall budget management is required.
-A strong technical background is essential, with familiarity of both software, electrical and mechanical integration methods.
-A thorough understanding of typical systems engineering work products and processes. (requirements matrix, SEMP, verification/validation matrix, design review products, test readiness review products)
-The candidate must be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
Desired Skills:
Experience working in a DoD design environment with exposure to DoD customers
-Ability to read and interpret drawings including mechanical, electrical harness drawings and schematics.
-Experience with an engineering change process and/or configuration control process
-Experience with production, manufacturing, and installation support
-Familiarity with software development
-Experience with DOORS or other requirements management software
-Experience with Team Center

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
