Job Title: Systems EngineerJob Description We are seeking a systems engineer to support ongoing UAV projects. In this role, you will work closely with team members, including customers, program managers, engineering, production, and operations, to ensure that all project requirements and artifacts are modeled correctly. Responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, defining and modeling system architectures, and effective project communication. Responsibilities + Develop system designs through Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo. + Develop system design with knowledge of SysML. + Create system requirements and subsystem requirements, defining system bounds, capabilities, and functional features. + Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to ensure the actual design aligns with the intended design. + Monitor and manage full system-level requirements for the overall built system and ensure that the system meets the intended requirements. + Monitor and manage validation and verification of requirements at the system and subsystem level. Essential Skills + 5-10 years of experience in systems engineering. + Eligible for secret clearance. + Bachelor's degree in engineering. + Experience and knowledge in software architecture, functional modeling, writing requirements, verification, UAV, subsystem, defense, aviation, reliability, airworthiness, and safety. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler or other similar MBSE tools is helpful. + Reliability experience is helpful. + Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. + Adaptable to a smaller company environment where multitasking is necessary. Work Environment The position is on-site in Madison in a manufacturing environment with a small organization comprising three other systems engineers. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week.
