Systems Engineer
**Job Description** We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for providing engineering services for a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities for various DoD organizations. The selected candidate will support new project start-ups that provide system engineering services to our dynamic customers in support of NSW Combatant Craft, Special Operating Forces (SOF) and other federal agency C5ISR projects including: requirements definition, solution definition, integration, installation verification and validation, operation and sustainment, rapid response-oriented engineering, and in-service engineering. The following duties are typical of the position: 1. Work independently to lead an engineering team to support a project, or portions of multiple projects, within established program guidelines. 2. Assist with the design and integration efforts of C5I technologies (e.g. radio, telecommunication, IT, and computer networks) across multiple platforms including vehicles, ships/boats, transit case, and fixed based systems. 3. Research and evaluate alternative solutions, work with design teams to develop integration concepts and communications architectures, prepare detailed system designs, coordinate the production of prototype components and systems, and test systems equipment for deployment. 4. Perform system modeling and simulation efforts and related MBSE tasking to include technical whitepapers, presentations, stakeholder demos, etc. 5. Maintain strong relationships with key customers, teammates and vendors. 6. Create design presentations and brief customers as needed on behalf of government sponsors. 7. Write technical reports such as site surveys, test procedures, test reports, trade studies, and white papers. 8. Write and support executive level papers/briefs for submission. 9. Interface professionally and communicate effectively with project staff and other organizational resources. This position is located in Chesapeake, VA. Some limited relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field At least 4 years of experience performing Model Based Systems Engineering Direct experience in Systems Engineering and SysML/UML modeling capabilities utilizing modeling tools such as Cameo Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, navigate at the expert level with System Modeling tools, and are familiar with developing Use Cases, Activity Models, and other SYSML models. Experience applying modeling to support a system s or SoS requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition lifecycle phases Experience Implementing a model-based culture, leveraging capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure of the organization Proven experience in delivering large-scale DoD systems engineering projects In-depth understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, MBSE, and best practices **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Proficiency in systems monitoring, diagnostics and performance analysis tools Familiarity with system engineering topics, including architecture development and requirements. Experience utilizing model data support to enable the creation of a digital thread across other engineering disciplines (e.g., cyber and safety). Knowledge/Experience supporting DOD C5ISR systems (combatant craft or tactical vehicle platforms) **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $86460 - $146982 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
