Systems Engineer
Job Title: Systems Engineer Job Description Review and estimate customer requests and develop competitive technical solutions addressing their needs. Collaborate with other system engineers and customers to validate and recommend solutions addressing requirements while respecting cost and schedule constraints. Understand problems and constraints related to the design of systems, ensuring they are properly addressed by the proposed solution. Work with hardware, firmware, and software development teams to define system requirements, validate, verify, and allocate them. Contribute to all phases of development, including requirement analysis, development, verification of life cycle data, testing, and first aircraft installations. Generate and review system specifications and technical manuals. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain knowledge of industry regulations to ensure airworthiness. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. + Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on hardware integration. + Proficiency in creating wiring diagrams, understanding pinouts, and managing requirements. + Hands-on experience with qualification testing and compliance standards. + Exposure to DOORS or similar requirements management tools. + Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. + Leadership skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages. + Familiarity with Model Based design tools such as Rhapsody (IBM). Work Environment The role will be hybrid, working 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, typically from home on Tuesdays and Fridays. This schedule may fluctuate depending on project deadlines and software sprint phases. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
