Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Program Management Office – Ground Combat Systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and integration of cutting-edge thermal and optical sensors. Your expertise will be instrumental in incorporating additional laser technologies, laser protection, and color camera systems.
ResponsibilitiesLead the integration of advanced sensor technologies into complex combat vehicle systems.Author detailed requirements using DOORS, ensuring alignment with program objectives.Provide expert technical advice to program management staff and supporting agencies to address critical risks.Assist in proposal development and government negotiations, translating technical requirements into clear and concise documentation.Focus areas include NBC, EMI, environmental, shock, and vibration.Contribute to the development of overall technical policy for the customer and disseminate information to relevant organizations.Work closely with engineers from various disciplines, including optics, sensors, mechanics, and electronics.Essential SkillsExperience authoring detailed requirements using DOORS.Minimum of 5 years of experience working with sights or sensors, preferably in infrared sensors.Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.Comprehensive knowledge of combat vehicle systems.Experience with model-based systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $64.90/hr.
