Join our team as a **Systems Engineer** works as a member of the Modeling and Simulation Network of Excellence to design and develop the Model Based Systems Engineering via system modeling language, tool and process, in support of multiple business of Trane Technologies around the global. This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based at US with multiple locations options, such as Tyler (TX), Davidson (NC), Minneapolis (MN). Flexible work from home options available. This Systems Engineer will work closely with various product and technology development teams and with global engineering support center personnel around the globe.
**Where is the work:**
This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
**What you will do:**
Work with multi-functional organization, including engineering excellence, IT, procurements, etc. to develop enterprise level product architecture for Trane Technologies. Develop processes at expertise level to enable MBSE through architecture modeling, understanding product design requirement, interfacing with PLM and physical modeling and simulation tools, eventually define a business specific methodologies MBSE more suitable for Trane Technologies.
+ Work with design teams to develop product architecture and development using system modeling language and tools.
+ Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to System Architecture deployment to new product development projects.
+ Utilize MBSE tools to support teams in capturing stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of system architecture and usage, and enhance a culture of model-based digital engineering.
+ Integrate MBSE tools with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform, as well as other tools from different functional departments, such as product architecture SMEs, Modeling and Simulation tools, Lab data accusation system, detail design, etc.
+ Drive culture and adoption of model based systems engineering throughout organization
+ Support and successfully accomplish annual corporate objectives around MBSE for individuals and teams.
+ Work closely with Sub-business Unit (SBU) MBSE deployment team and support enterprise and SBU MBSE engineering resources globally.
**What you will bring:**
+ BS in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar field is required. Master degree is preferred.
+ 3 to 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
+ Professional in SysML langrage, experience using Catia Magic Cyber Systems is preferred
+ Experience with Polarion requirement tool is preferred
+ OCSMP (Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional) certification is required.
+ Knowledgeable in MBSE and experience in applying it to the full engineering lifecycle is highly preferred.
+ INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) is preferred.
+ Experience in HVAC&R products is preferred. Experience in refrigeration systems and components, such as engines, fans, compressors, power electronics, and control systems is highly preferred.
+ Experience in MBSE or Digital Engineering tools is highly preferred.
+ Strong experience with requirements management, architecture definition, verification and validation.
+ Strong teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills required.
**Compensation:**
Base Pay Range: $85,000 - $115,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
