The Technology Solutions Department is actively seeking two (2) Systems Engineer. This is professional systems analysis work and is responsible for implementation, configuration, upgrade, monitoring, troubleshooting, and administration of the mission critical server technology software and hardware infrastructure. The work requires seasoned understanding of information systems installation, programming, analysis and design management principles, practices, and techniques usually gained through degree granting schools, or equivalent experience, supplemented by substantial work experience. Contacts with users require skills in understanding and influencing others are important in determining and meeting user data processing needs including skills of persuasiveness, assertiveness, and sensitivity to others point of view that are required to influence behavior, change an opinion, or turn a situation around. The work is covered by clearly defined policies and principles and involves a wide variety of differing situations requiring search for solutions or new applications within one’s known experiences. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers and related equipment. Operates a motor vehicle. The physical demands consist mainly of sitting for extended periods of time and at times lifting objects weighing less than 45 pounds . The work is performed under administrative direction where the work is subject to operating plans, objectives, functional policies and precedents and the work is generally free from any technical control in planning and carrying out work responsibilities. The work is reviewed in terms of feasibility, compatibility with other work projects, and effectiveness in meeting requirements or expected results.
