Job Summary: The Systems Engineer provides the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products, and provide a superior level of technical support that benefits programs and products. The role involves collaborating with customers to develop requirements for systems and leveraging technical expertise in system development, analysis, and design of robust complex electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
•\tDevelop and perform systems engineering evaluations, trade studies, and recommend implementations.
•\tTransform customer requirements into specifications.
•\tParticipate in planning, design, technical review, and implementation for new hardware and operating systems for new and existing system designs.
•\tMaintain system design standards.
•\tProvide technical guidance, training, and support to engineering staff as designated by the project lead.
•\tCollaborate with customers to develop requirements for systems.
•\tWork with technical team engineering to develop design and prototypes.
•\tAssist in testing, analysis, and system improvements.
•\tMust be flexible and versatile to work in a small systems group and small/medium-sized company; must be hands-on and a team player
Education/Experience:
•\tBachelor’s degree in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field (BSEE, Systems, or BSME).
•\tAt least 7 years of experience in a relevant field.
•\t2-10 years of knowledge in hardware set circuit boards, cabling, connectors, enclosures, electro-mechanical devices, servers (racking equipment), etc.
•\tExperience with ruggedized equipment, displays, consoles, and GUIs (racking cabinets).
•\tKnowledge of video distribution and transmission, submarine displays (signal processing).
•\tUnderstanding of the overall architecture of equipment and systems.
•\tExperience with military or navy is a plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $56.00/hr.
