Be a part of our Support System Engineering Team! We are seeking an entry level Systems Engineer at Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor located near Silverdale, Washington to provide Engineering support to Navy and Lockheed Martin Customers for sustainment of equipment used to handle, transport, service, and maintain the Trident II Submarine-launched ballistic missile systems.

In this role you will:

- Develop solutions to a variety of technical problems of varying complexity, perform in a team environment and work under the direction of a group lead.
- Provide guidance for support equipment, operations, disassembly, assembly, discrepancy identification, maintenance, and repair.
- Provide technical guidance during the isolation and correction of discrepant conditions, equipment defects, and procedural difficulties encountered on the production floor.
- Apply mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles, theories and concepts.
- Have flexibility for variation in work scope and shifts.
The position will involve extensive travel with approximately 40% of you time spent in our Flagstaff, AZ or Salt lake City, UT sites and 60% in Silverdale, WA.

This position requires an Interim Secret clearance to start. U.S. Citizenship required. Cannot be a dual citizen. A current / active clearance is preferred.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience.

- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to starting employment and ability to maintain a final DoD Secret security clearance.

- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-base environment
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills

- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical systems

- Recent/current security clearance

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $55,300 - $106,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
