Systems Engineer- 1099 Contract Role (Sybase/Cognos/Citrix/BOBJ)   Job Description Summary:  + D&G Solutions is seeking an exceptional Systems Engineer to support the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Data Environment & Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) Program in a part time capacity of 24 hours a week. The IGC Program offers a unified platform for accessing critical data, business services, and information related to material asset visibility. It enables seamless integration and management of logistics, supply, and distribution across combatant commands, military services, and federal agencies. Roles & Responsibilities:   + Leads the administration of COGNOS and BOBJ applications, across 6 environments while working closely with client team to understand mission requirements. + This includes administration, cube support, mash-up support, performance tuning, adding users, granting permissions, configuration, account management, performance troubleshooting/monitoring, performing restores, auditing and clearing logs, and monitoring space and capacity. + Conducts ongoing performance tuning to ensure the applications meet the efficiency standards required by the client. + Employs advanced monitoring techniques to quickly identify and address any performance issues, ensuring robust application availability and reliability. + Performs data restores and comprehensive system audits to verify the integrity and security of the applications. Monitors log management and space capacity to prevent system overloads and ensure continuous operational efficiency. + Documents all aspects of the system for future maintenance and upgrades. + Assists in other functions as directed by Program Manager.
