Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a Systems Engineer I to join the growing Transportation Systems team! You will work on a team responsible for strategic system design, research initiatives, and financial data cataloging centered around our transportation planning and execution. You will support and maintain our transportation management system, with a focus on Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar platforms. This role involves system configuration, solving, and working closely with multi-functional teams to ensure efficient performance of the transportation management infrastructure. What You’ll Do:

Configure, develop, and maintain the OTM systemImplement and support OTM modules including Order Management, Contract and Rate Management, Shipment Management, Business Process Automation, Fleet Management, and Freight SettlementRun system upgrades and patches, particularly in the OTM Cloud environmentDevelop and optimize SQL queries, BIP reports, XML, and stylesheetsConfigure and modify automation agentsCollaborate with business teams to understand requirements and implement system improvementsLead multiple integrations, including EDI and API for rating and freight trackingDevelop and maintain system documentationProvide technical support to end-users

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experienceMinimum 4 years of OTM development and support experienceStrong understanding of logistics business processes and conceptsExtensive experience with OTM modules: Order Management, Contract and Rate Management, Shipment Management, Business Process Automation, Fleet Management, and Freight SettlementProficiency in SQL, BIP reports, XML, and stylesheetsSolid understanding of OTM business objects, interfaces, and external systemsExperience with system integration, EDI, and API technologies for rating and freight trackingFamiliarity with the OTM Cloud quarterly upgrade cycle and ability to test and document to ensure system stabilityExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to work independently and relate product functionality to complex logistics and business processesThis role requires 5% domestic travel

Bonus:

Experience with other supply chain management systems (e.g., SAP TM, JDA)Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or PythonFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud)APICS or other relevant supply chain certifications
