Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Job Description

The successful applicant will be experienced in keeping technical infrastructure running smoothly and balancing high priority issues. You should be comfortable taking on ambiguous challenges like setting up new pre-production hardware for the first time. You should be able to define SOPs, metrics, and alarms to keep equipment and test infrastructure highly available and expand the team's capabilities over time. You will be invaluable to enabling the team to move quickly and confidently with robust verification frameworks that scale with our systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, set up, and maintain test fixtures to verify software on real hardwareUtilize software and scripts for operations to keep things running and highly availableTroubleshoot software and hardware problems with pre-production equipmentContribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity, especially as it relates to rapid test iterationDesign and build advanced automated build, test, and release infrastructureDrive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainabilityHard Skills2+ years of non-internship professional software development or IT experienceExperience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, RubyBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field2+ years of experience in any of the following: test lab support, operational hardware support2+ years of experience with test automation, debugging, building test tools, and testing frameworks2+ years of experience working with Linux-based systems2+ years of experience in computer networking (admin level)About Actalent
