As a Systems Engineer in Aurora, CO, you will help our team to design, plan, implement, and administer databases, including security, access, and documentation while supporting the customer. You will be trusted to work with a variety of different technologies.
HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Design, test, upgrade and integrate new or existing systems and applications in accordance with business requirementProvide support for eVault, MS Exchange, pharmacy applications, and MS SQL databasesDocument all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of systems and applicationsSupport the entire SDLC including process definition, requirements, management, project planning, quality assurance, metrics, testing, certification, validation, and verification, architecture, and reengineering, security, and configuration managementUtilize Agile techniques such as planning, daily standup, review and retrospective meetingsCoordinate changes such as implementation of new systems and applications, upgrades or version increments to existing platforms with system administrators and stakeholdersPlan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard systems and applicationsSupport infrastructure platform modeling, analysis, and planningCoordinate with architecture and evaluate new and emerging infrastructure platform technologies and make recommendations for selection of these productsAssist system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting effortsGenerate system documentation as needed.Centralizes mobile device management and maintenance, combining security and management solutions for devices, applications, data, and content by: (a) Enabling IT to track and manage wireless devices (b) Improving security, integration, and mobile application adoption (c) Securely managing mobile devices and platforms (d) Increasing access to data, applications, and servicesWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree and/or 4 years of equivalent experienceExperience: 6+ years of progressive experience in systems engineeringCertifications: IAT II certifications as approved by customer (e.g. MCSA, RHCA, MCSE, VMWare, AWS, Citrix, NetApp)CE certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)Technical skills: Demonstrated Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)Demonstrated with Windows platformDemonstrated experience in: Active Directory, SCCM/Tanium, VMware, NetApp, Microsoft SQL Server and/or DHCP/file storageExperience in mobile device management for Apple and/or Android devicesSecurity clearance: Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprintingPreferred: Experience providing systems engineering in a DoD healthcare environmentLocation: On Customer SiteTravel: Some local travel may be requiredWeekly Scheduled Hours: 40Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
