Systems Engineer IV

You will be assisting to accelerate early stage technologies, support technology transfer and solve unique Government problems. ICON team members act as partners with the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and other Government agencies to serve in the defense of National Security. operations.


The Systems Engineer IV is responsible for performing and managing the full spectrum of systems engineering tasks to include requirements analysis; feature, system, and interface design; system integration; system testing; and working with the Modeling Team in support of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and associated documentation. The Systems Engineer IV can also serve as a product owner depending on the TDL project requirements, and lead a Software Development Team while managing risks, escalating impediments, and helping to drive continuous process improvement. The Systems Engineer IV performs technical support, coordination, and execution of systems engineering activities such as feature/requirements analysis, design, implementation planning, integration and test, sustainment, documentation, deployment, and system assessment. The Systems Engineer IV performs systems engineering tasks within time-boxed (e.g., Agile) sprints and releases, supports sprint and release-planning activities, and the creation of and/or input to work tickets (e.g., Jira), as well as program/system documentation using collaboration software (e.g., Confluence). The Systems Engineer IV supports and employs MBSE Approach for systems planning, design, execution, and sustainment in coordination with the Systems Engineering Team. The Systems Engineer IV helps to define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility, and assists in the development and maintenance of systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models working in coordination/collaboration with the TDL Project Team. The Systems Engineer IV assists in establishing Systems Engineering processes and tools to accomplish analysis, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and plans for current and upcoming releases. The Systems Engineer IV assists with daily scrums and document inputs/actions/status, holds Agile ceremony meetings with the Software Development Team, and participates in release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage, and other pertinent meetings. The Systems Engineer IV coordinates with Test Team members on release/hotfix testing, reporting release status to the Project Manager, project staff, and customer as needed. The Systems Engineer IV assists with resolution of technical issues that adversely impact successful product delivery, identifying and supporting external dependencies where needed. Support IT accessibility technical analysis to include\: the development, maintenance, and utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to support research, technical analysis, testing, implementation, and cyber security analysis for the Enterprise IT Architecture. Support the implementation of a centralized captioning and transcription service to include research, development, procurement, and implementation of a system or systems which rely on machine learning and human machine teaming. The-SME level Systems Engineer IV is a consultant to the Systems Engineering Team and provides thought leadership and problem solving. They collaborate on difficult situations to leverage the capability of the Systems Engineering Team as a whole. They share work and engage with other Systems Engineer IVs. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams and Project. Experience in a Government QA project environment. Section 508/IT Accessibility experience.
