Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) Special Operations Forces Global Logistics and Support Services (SOF GLSS) is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer at our facility in Lexington, KY.

Our team performs modification of military aircraft, both rotary- and fixed-wing to meet evolving operational needs. The Systems Engineer acts as the technical conscious for program implementation and is able to translate customer requirements into verified and validated end products. The successful candidate works within the Systems Engineering team to implement the design lifecycle (i.e., SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) and will have responsibilities that include interface development, requirements flowdown, system-level integration, architecture definition, and process development/implementation. Experience with cybersecurity for Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems or software development within the Department of Defense is a plus. The candidate should have a excellent technical background and be able to effectively communicate with the customer and across the team.

SOF GLSS provides quick turnaround of added capabilities to existing platforms. Our mission is to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community with the best available systems anywhere in the world.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.

Experience generating Systems Engineering work products and documentation.

Experience with the Systems Engineering design lifecycle (i.e., SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).

Experience developing technical solutions based on specifications or standards.
Desired Skills:
Experience with DoD processes or design/modification of military platforms, particularly aircraft.

Experience using common Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or Teamcenter.

Familiar with software development requirements, architecture, integration, and testing.

Familiar with cybersecurity assessment using Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Experience generating Basis of Estimates (BOEs) in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
