Systems Engineer - Mid - TS

We are searching for a Top Secret cleared Systems Engineer to join our team in Quantico, VA. 

As a systems engineer for this program, you will provide engineering solutions scalability, failover/recovery, disaster recovery planning, monitoring, security and performance.  You will also work with System Administrators to perform Desktop, application, and interface support and administration.  Responsible for responding to a variety of system administration related requests.  Manages software desktops and Virtual images.  Installation/configuration, operations and maintenance of system hardware and software related to infrastructure. Assist with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of laptops/desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software within established standards and guidelines.  Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems.  Maintain user accounts.  Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment.  Perform server administration.  Perform patch maintenance. Knowledge of Windows server, Exchange/Outlook, TCP/IP and various internet servers (DNS, NAT, IPSec, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SNMP).  

Responsibilities\: 
A typical day in the life of a System Administrator on this program involves 
•    Windows Server Administration  
•    Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/Group Policy familiarity  
•    WSUS patching, vulnerability mitigation, and STIG scanning/implementation 
•    Hands on experience with Virtualized environments to include servers and desktop deployments. (i.e, Build a server or VM form the ground up) 
•    Storage Management (Bonus) – some but not NetApp

Writes programs to fulfill requirements or selects appropriate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and customizes it as necessary. Installs new hardware and maintains existing hardware. May train end users in use of hardware and software. May perform limited routine network administration functions.

Must have at least 2 years of experience in the evaluation, installation, configuration management, and user support of hardware and software.

Clearance Required\: Top Secret

Minimum Education\: Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Years of Experience\: 5
