Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Engineer, Professional who will work as a member of the Sustaining Engineering team. This individual will join other smart, talented, and dedicated Engineers who pride themselves on analyzing the most difficult challenges for the launch-test range while developing and delivering solutions to meet the needs of the US Space Force and its customers. This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. This position is not eligible for a regular telecommuting schedule. Venturi is a subcontractor to a company that operates, maintains, and sustains mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space lift vehicles. We support ballistic missile, guided weapon, and aeronautical tests and evaluations as well as support space situational awareness operations and experiments to defend the United States to ensure our nation’s safety. We offer our team of experienced, professional employees an environment of challenging, stimulating, and personally and professionally rewarding career opportunities.    Responsibilities Provide detailed architecture expertise, ensuring compatibility with ground systems. Perform on-site reviews of components, logs, serial numbers, and report results. Critique and recommend changes to manuals, test procedures, and test reports in accordance with tailored requirements. Attend technical interchange meetings, design reviews and review test data. Witness testing at the vendor/lab facilities. Provide technical assistance to Range Users on test requirements and methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical, computer science, engineering, or other STEM-related field Zero to two years experience in an engineering, data analysis, or related technical discipline Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience using computer systems, software, or tools for data analysis and manipulating data in different coordinate systems. Experience with Range Safety Systems (RSS) preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Ability to travel approximately six times a year throughout the Continental U.S., sometimes with limited notice The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship Valid U.S. Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong organizational skills with a specific emphasis on attention to detail. Must be self-motivated to work independently. Must be able to operate under a timeline-driven process environment and be able to solve problems.
