**Job Description:**
The Telecom Engineering - Staff supports and maintains all in-house voice systems. This includes installing, configuring, upgrading, diagnosing, repairing and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail and PBX (VoIP & TDM) communication systems. This person also analyzes and resolves telecommunications circuit issues in a timely and accurate fashion and assist all user needs. Fully functioning, journey-level professional with experience in most aspects of telecommunications and technology. Incumbent's ability encompasses broad knowledge required within the communications specialty area. Typically implements designs or approaches developed by others. Functions independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction.
**_This position is partially remote. The selected candidate must be able to work at least one day a week from one of our main hospitals in Denver, CO area, Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO or Saint Vincent hospital in Billings, MT._**
Job Essentials
1. Responsible for daily Moves Adds & Changes (MAC) for telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response, and video conferencing systems.
2. Installs and supports telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, call management systems, voice mail, interactive voice response, and video conferencing systems.
3. Integrates systems with enterprise LANs, WANs, wireless LANs, and Internet-based services and protocols.
4. Configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots end user telecommunications hardware, telephony devices, and voice / data hardware products.
5. Receives, prioritizes, and responds to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding equipment and/or connectivity problems.
6. Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of moderate telecommunications problems for a variety of end users. Recommends and implements corrective hardware solutions.
7. Accurately documents instances of software or hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal, and other work requests.
8. Assists with inspection, testing, and maintenance of telephone lines, circuits, trunks, and associated wiring and cabling.
9. Where necessary, liaise with equipment vendors during installations, acquisition negotiations, and hardware performance issues.
10. Modifies and/or rearranges telecommunication systems to accommodate additional services or changes.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree in a computer science or telecommunications related field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Two years technical experience.
- and -
Two years of telecommunications experience, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- and -
Working technical knowledge of PBX, voice mail, interactive voice services, call management systems, and telecommunications accounting systems.
- and -
Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of the installation, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment, video teleconferencing equipment, and voice / data equipment.
- and -
Working technical knowledge of current telecommunications practices, protocols, and principles.
- and -
Hands-on experience designing, installing, and troubleshooting cabling and wiring systems.
- and -
Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including [H323, H248 & SIP].
- and -
Demonstrated ability to operate tools, components, peripherals, and testing accessories.
- and -
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- and -
Adept at reading and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
- and -
Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Solaris servers along with open source software.

Experience with the following systems:
Genesys cloud CX admin and architect level experience.
Cisco unified call manager (CUCM) version 11.5 and upwards.
Cisco UCCX
Cisco Unity
Cisco CUIC
Cisco Expressway
Cisco UCS servers and VMware experience.
Cisco CER
Cisco ISR 4400 and 4600 SIP CUBEs
Cisco Voice Gateways VG350 , VG450
Cisco Jabber for desktop and mobile solutions
Cisco Webex contact center experience

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
