Systems Engineer
ACTIVE TS CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION
As a Systems Program & Design Engineer, you will provide Information Technology systems engineering expertise and guidance to the client regarding systems integration and interoperability across a diverse portfolio of Command, Control, and Communications (C3) systems.
Responsibilities:
Conduct systems-level assessments of currently fielded transport and network systems to understand current deficiencies and develop courses of action for the modernization, integration, sustainment, or deprecation. Assessments may include all aspects of systems, including facilities, networks, systems, services, applications, cross-domain constraints, cybersecurity, operational, organizational issues.Conduct systems-level analysis of alternatives of currently fielded systems to provide actionable options for courses of action to correct and eliminate deficiencies.Conducts research and analysis of emerging threats to, and vulnerabilities of, current and proposed network environments.Performs research to maintain up-to-date situational awareness of current global telecommunications industry and technology trends.Assists in project and program management monitoring and reporting activities in support of Client-led initiatives. This includes assessment and reporting on the performance, schedule, and budget performance of the execution projects and programs.Assess client’s networks and information services against the baseline architecture to determine gaps, deficiencies, and compliance; recommends new technological, equipment and service approaches to improve client’s architecture.Assists in the development of high-level solutions for the Client and related organizations. This includes creating supporting documentation (i.e., reports and presentations based on a range of technologies and infrastructure topics as requested by the Client). Assist and coordinate solution implementation planning and coordination activities.Assists in the development of future architectures and associated analysis artifacts based on threats, technology, operational requirements, and current and emerging market trends.Education, Experience, and Abilities:
15 years of experience in network concepts, architecture, operations, and tools.10 years of experience in the architecture, design, and implementation of optical transport networks.Five years Department of Defense or Intelligence Community experience.10 years of experience of the global and domestic information technology and communications commercial market.Bachelor's Degree. Graduate degree preferred.TS clearance with SCI eligibility.Position Location: Chantilly, VA
