About your next Challenge as a System Engineering Intern :
2025 Engineering Co-op ProgramThe program is designed to develop students’ professional skills and provide a foundation to be successful engineers in the future. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to experience several phases of engineering including analysis and design, component engineering, ILS, equipment testing, and development of technical documentation. Within each discipline, structured mentoring from senior technical staff will enable the candidate to learn quickly and boost their competencies.
What will you do:
+ Develop manufacturing drawings for naval equipment
+ Research inputs for logistics documentation and equipment obsolescence
+ Preparing and performing test procedures for procured and designed equipment.Review customer’s documentation of ship systems; including the propulsion, electrical systems, and auxiliary systems
+ Participate in internal meetings, provide input regarding interface between ship systems and the control system
+ Preparation of equipment and system level documentation
+ Support of technical assessment for potential hardware/equipment solution, including evaluation and performance testing
Required Skills and Experiences:
+ Completed 3rd year of Marine, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering;
+ Commitment to work well done, ensuring follow-ups and seeing that deadlines are respected;
+ Ease of working with people (customer teams, several internal services and external suppliers);
+ Good working knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project);
+ Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment;
+ Must be meticulous and detail-oriented.
+ Excellent oral communication skills;
+ The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory) :
+ Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
+ Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
+ Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
