Systems Engineering Manager

In this role, you will manage a team that is a combination of systems, motion, vision, and accuracy experts, systems test, process and application engineers. You'll work closely with our customers to understand their needs and guide your team to design solutions that push technological boundaries. You will balance leadership with hands-on technical involvement, particularly in more complex areas, ensuring your team is always moving in the right direction.

Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a 50/50 split between management and hands-on involvement in technical projects. Guide and steer the team, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, technical solutions, and team deliverables. Be technically involved in major projects, especially the ones in the early concept stages. Responsible for technical product roadmap creation. Coach and mentor your team through complex challenges, providing guidance when needed and ensuring the team’s growth. Coordinate the efforts of systems engineers, making sure they are involved in both specification and design. Formulate team objectives, ensuring strategic alignment with both short-term and long-term goals. Oversee the deployment of resources and the development of both technical and non-technical competencies. Maintain technical oversight to follow discussions and provide input on difficult areas, ensuring the highest quality solutions. Minimum Bachelors degree in Mechatronics or a related discipline 5+ years of experience managing technical leads, from mechatronics background. A strong background in mechatronics and system engineering, enabling you to provide strategic technical input and direction. Experience in managing engineering teams, preferably in the mechatronics field.  Real team player with a passion for connecting disciplines.  Strong decision-making skills with the ability to challenge and also respond to deviations.  A balance of management and hands-on experience, with a deep understanding of technical challenges. Ability to coach, mentor, and be involved in technical conversations and decision-making processes. Not just a people manager—you should have the technical expertise to support the team in navigating complex challenges.
