Raytheon’s Naval Airborne Systems (NAS) Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEI&T) Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) team has an immediate opportunity for a Flight Test Conductor (TC). We're seeking an individual possessing in-depth knowledge of the P-8 AAS System and all mission aspects currently employed. This position will interface with our Navy customer and be an integral part of our Ground and Flight Test Team. The TC will also interact with other stakeholders to ensure program objectives are achieved. Successful candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive. 

The candidate must already possess in-depth knowledge of the AAS System and have testing experience to include performance assessment, integration and test, verification, and validation. This position requires regular off shift work (nights and weekends), long hours routinely over 40 per week, and frequent travel. The candidate must be extremely flexible and willing to adapt to ever-changing tasking and daily routine of both work hours/work times as required.  Work hours are variable and are not set for this position.  The candidate must thrive in small team environments and must be a self-starter. The position is full time, on-site at Love Field, Dallas TX.

What You Will Do:

Perform ground and flight integration testing.Participating in system engineering reviews.Conducting performance analyses.Providing clarification of requirements to the software development team.Supporting the SEIT team in preparation and conduct of program reviews.  Completing assigned tasks to meet program schedule milestones.Perform test plans and procedures meeting the needs of delivering quality products.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Physics) with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.Minimum of 7 years Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance (MPRA) experience.    ​Minimum of 4,000 MPRA flight hours with at least 2,000 hours flown during Integration, Developmental and/or Operational Test. Minimum of 2 years-experience with either the hardware or software (preferably both) used on the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS). Able to meet yearly FAA class 3 medical requirements and pass customer directed swim qualification.   Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Airborne radar systems development and test experience in flight environments.Experience with System testing in an integration lab environment.Knowledge of radar systems.Experience in shell scripting/developing system evaluation tools.Experience with troubleshooting during electronics and/or software verification and validation.Familiarity with systems verification and test activities.Designed and/or testing of radar systems (military or commercial).

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
