Global Science & Technology, Inc. (GST) is seeking an experienced Systems\/Network Administrator to join our team. GST supports the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) used to publish NASA announcements of research solicitations, manage the subsequent proposal submissions, and support the peer review activities (https:\/\/nspires.nasaprs.com\/). This position supports the daily operations of the NSPIRES system and the NASA Research and Education Support Services (NRESS II) contract office network and VPN. Hybrid telework (majority) and in-person position. \n
Candidates must be local to the DC metro area and able to attend in-person meetings in Crystal City, VA when required. Interviews will take place via Teams with candidates required to be on camera.\n

Position Summary:\n
\u2022 Support, configure, and secure, high-availability Cisco networks
\u2022 Perform periodic vulnerability audits using industry-standard application suites such as Nessus and Acunetix
\u2022 Implement, test, and maintain system security controls, audit mechanisms, incident response capability, and monitoring of intrusion sensors and audit logs.
\u2022 Perform network troubleshooting using tools such as Capsa and Nessus
\u2022 Apply patches, monitor the status of systems, and take action to avoid outages, remediate problems, or adapt to changing client demands.
\u2022 Maintain and update baseline documentation
\u2022 Work with Cisco vendors to manage support contracts and refresh network components when needed\n

Required Education\/Experience\/Skills:\n
\u00b7 Minimum 5 years' general IT network experience with 3 years' network administrator experience
\u00b7 BS\/BA degree in IT related field preferred but not required\n
\u00b7 Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
\u00b7 Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
\u00b7 Ability to be proactive and take initiative
\u00b7 Strong oral and written communication skills.
\u00b7 Work both independently and in teams
\u00b7 US Citizen or Permanent Resident\n

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.\n
