NetImpact Strategies is seeking a Systems Operation Team Lead to join our team, in support of a federal client.

Systems Operation Team Lead will oversee and optimize IT operations in dynamic environments. He should be skilled in managing and mentoring teams to ensure seamless system performance, incident resolution, and adherence to SLAs. Proficient in deploying, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise-level systems and infrastructure, he should streamline workflows, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. He should be a strong communicator with a collaborative approach, ensuring alignment between technical operations and organizational goals. 

Responsibilities

Lead and Manage IT Operations Team: Oversee a team of systems administrators and IT professionals, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations of systems and infrastructure. Ensure System Availability and Performance: Monitor and manage the performance, uptime, and health of all critical systems, servers, and network infrastructure to ensure they meet SLAs and business needs. Incident Management: Act as the point of escalation for critical incidents, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimize system downtime. Implement and Maintain System Monitoring Tools: Set up and configure systems and network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to track system performance and detect issues proactively. Lead Change and Configuration Management: Coordinate changes to the system infrastructure, ensuring all changes are properly documented, tested, and comply with change management processes. Drive Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve operational processes, workflows, and automation to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize system performance. Ensure Security and Compliance: Enforce security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR) across systems and infrastructure to protect organizational data and meet regulatory requirements. Disaster Recovery and Backup Management: Oversee and test backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity in case of system failures or disasters. Training and Development: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical skill development. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with other IT teams, including development, network, and security teams, to ensure alignment and seamless operations across all systems and projects.  Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or a related technical field. 

Preferred Certification: 

ITIL Foundation Certification or higher for IT service management. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect for cloud-based systems management. CompTIA Network+ or similar certifications for networking knowledge. Previous federal consulting experience About Us
