Responsibilities include assisting in planning and conducting advanced cyber infrastructure engineering duties; implementing cyber infrastructure solutions to keep up with the pace of complex research problems; working with senior staff to build, monitor, and maintain the integrity of cyber infrastructure systems; and providing technical guidance to research teams. Responsibilities will also require efforts towards multiple simultaneous projects. This position will configure, maintain, and secure advanced computing systems and implement security controls. Computing systems support a variety of research projects, including Informatics research in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Having a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) is not required but is preferred. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in support for computationally advanced cutting-edge cancer research.

IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered) Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration including operating system installation, configuration, and updates/patches, user management, package management/software installation, storage management, network configuration, performance monitoring, and systems security.
Broad knowledge of the deployment, management, and security of cyber infrastructure systems including storage, cluster computing, network, database, virtualized systems (e.g., Linux clusters, VM clusters, and storage clusters)
Experience with collecting and tracking Cyber Infrastructure system performance metrics Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
