Additional requirements: + Experience with Windows Server operating systems as well as sever virtualization technologies such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V. + Experience or foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 Software as a Service (SaaS) including expertise in online meetings and collaboration, online file storage, productivity applications, security and compliance features, and identity management. + Experience or fundamental knowledge of vulnerability scanning, event and traffic monitoring, incident response and remediation work, and endpoint security toolset management for a Windows operating system server environment. + Fundamental understanding of cloud infrastructure and services. + High proficiency in troubleshooting IT infrastructure issues. + Ability to perform detailed data reporting analytics and transform data into information to assist the department in business decisions. + Must be proficient in the English Language. Preferences: + Experience with BIG IP F5 application delivery systems. + Experience with administering Microsoft Internet Information Server or other web server technologies. + Experience with Windows file clusters. + Experience administering enterprise-scale secure FTP server platforms. This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description. Salary Range: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually. Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: + Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems. + Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. + Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365. + Knowledge of server virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Hyper-V. + Knowledge of best practices related to IT security. + Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCPIP, UDP, VPNs, VLANs. + Knowledge of PowerShell scripting. + Knowledge of Backup and Recovery tools such as Commvault or Veeam. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. + Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues effectively. + Ability to pay attention to detail and proactively manage systems. + Ability to write procedures, guidelines, and user guides. + Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This role involves technical work focused on the evaluation, planning, deployment, configuration, maintenance, and security hardening of the following systems and platforms: Windows Server Operating Systems including related systems (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, IIS Server, Windows Server Clusters), virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Secure FTP services. The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring system availability, security, and performance by applying best practices for patch management, system monitoring, and disaster recovery planning. Additionally, the role requires troubleshooting issues, implementing security hardening measures, and collaborating with other teams to support IT projects. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
