Based in the Tri-State area (New York Metro, Northern New Jersey, and Southern Connecticut), the team is committed to leveraging technical expertise and exceptional soft skills to address complex client needs. This role requires local candidates who can travel to Manhattan or nearby locations approximately 2-3 times per week. The culture of the team emphasizes continuous learning, growth, and problem-solving through teamwork. Reporting to the Manager of Systems Engineering, this position is designed to support junior team members' professional development and provide a pathway for career progression. This role operates primarily in a remote setup, offering flexibility to work from anywhere within the designated local area.Your RoleEngage with clients to assess their needs and deliver customized technical solutions.Collaborate with the sales team to address customer inquiries and technical requirements.Conduct customer demos to showcase enterprise software capabilities.Assist in creating IT roadmaps for hyper-converged and software-defined storage adoption.Coordinate with Account Executives to deliver impactful presentations and executive overviews.Provide accurate sizing and technical overview documentation to customers.Foster long-term customer relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Support post-sale efforts to ensure successful software adoption and implementation.What You Will Bring2-3 years of experience in sales engineering or a similar technical role.Expertise in data center virtualization, compute, network, and storage technologies.Familiarity with hyper-converged technologies and automation tools such as vRealize, Ansible, or Terraform.Basic knowledge of container management platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).Strong presentation skills and the ability to demo enterprise software products effectively.Exceptional problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow.Ability to adapt and collaborate effectively within a matrixed team environment.Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 165,200 and USD $ 247,800 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
