About the Role
Systems Software Architect, Automotive Systems Software Architecture, who is typically responsible for specifying and designing embedded system software for automotive systems such as cockpit domain controller systems, zonal and central compute systems. Practice standardized architecture process in collaboration with various stakeholders which includes technical architects, functional owners, subject matter experts, technical leads and system engineers of a project domains or product/platform teams. Work with other teams including Product Management, Enterprise Architects, CG CPMs, business operations, and other groups inside of the Harman Automotive Group. Be the technical expert for to support new business quotations and coordinate technical responses to RFI/RFQs. Primarily focused internally but will occasionally work with external stakeholders and suppliers and be involved in technical reviews, problem analysis, functional analysis and Solution Architecture

Strong focus on automotive systems which comprises of various ECUs like headunit, RSE, front passenger, gateway etc.Experience on various automotive EE architectures and system Software architectures including Software Defined Vehicle ArchitectureExperience on working on cockpit/zonal controller, central compute solutions which makes use of multiple VMs (QNX, Linux, Android), Hypervisors and ContainersExperience on working with various operating systems – Linux or working experience on QNX or other RTOS and optionally Android, AUTOSAR, Adaptive AUTOSARExperience of working for platform architecturePractical working knowledge and able to perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) as per UNECE WP.29 R155 and as per standard ISO 21434 for Automotive ECUsInvolved in RFQ phase and excellent in Cyber Security Requirements understanding.Able to create and perform cybersecurity system and technical requirements derived from TARA.Able to perform mapping between work products defined in R155 and Cyber security work packages based on TARA goalsExperience in working with automotive system SW infrastructure supporting digital cluster, ADAS and digital cockpit solutions.Should have Expert Knowledge of FUSA compliance and various ASIL levels.Strong focus on OSS activities, Embedded Security development, Vehicle Interfaces, Interactions with IO-Controllers/Vehicle Interface processorsProficient in C/C++ Programming, RUST, Embedded security topics, Android/Java programmingProficient in analyzing system level requirements and define best suited Solution Architecture Strong in RTOS and GPOS concepts and good proficiency in real time multi-core multi-threaded software design and development. Additionally, architecture experience in multi-SOC system development.Good knowledge of embedded systems architecture, Peripherals like PCIe, USB, I2C, I2S, SPI, Ethernet, HDMI, SSD, LVDS, CSI/DSI etcShould have prior experience on Architecting software for different Automotive SoCs.Should have experience of modelling software architecture using modelling tools like Enterprise Architect or similar MBSE tools leveraging SysML and UML.Should have experience in designing software infrastructure and services dependent on various communication protocolsShould have exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.Should be fluent in reading/understanding hardware block diagrams and schematicsShould be fluent in using test and measurement equipment like Oscilloscopes and Logic AnalyzersShould be able to work independently, contribute to requirements reviews, analysis of customer change requests, analysis of existing designs and also development of new designs in the field of Systems Design/DevelopmentWhat is Nice to Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or comparable education with 13+ years or more having at-least 8 years of experience in embedded automotive software. 3+ years as a SW ArchitectBe willing to travel, domestic or internationalBe willing to work in an office, in Germany.Be willing to submit a background screen or drug test.Can-do attitude with unwavering sense of timelinessAbility to learn new technologies quickly.Self-motivated, results-driven individual and passionate about work.
