Systems/Software Engineer

Your Impact In this Systems/Software Engineering role within the Common Hardware Group, you'll build bridges across hardware systems and technologies. You'll play a critical role in our power measurement solutions across our cutting-edge technology and beyond that the sky is the limit! Your day-to-day tasks may include: •Leading conversation, changes, and execution of a centralized power measurement solution •Writing scripts to automate measurement processes •Running physical measurement experimentation of Cisco equipment •Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of power solutions. •Dig into technology boundaries and possibilities •Work with cross-functional team across hardware and build functional relationships •Occasional business travel Minimum Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field •Prior experience in using one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript; python preferred •Experience with setup and testing for hardware compliance •Prior experience with Unix and networked equipment Preferred Qualifications •Experience with system-level power design or measurement •Experience with version control systems, such as Git •The ability to think creatively and be self-motivated; takes initiative and pushes technology boundaries •Strong communication and teamwork skills •Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks \#WeAreCisco \#WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
